INPRINTING - Exhibition profile
Inprinting, the pioneering fair dedicated to digital printing solutions for the graphic art market, first opened its doors in 1997. It was the first event to bring printing solutions for Print on Demand and Variable Data Printing to Italy. Through its display areas and conferences, it has offered a venue for the gradual transition and transformation of graphic industries to the digital world.
Indeed, since the late ’90s, the contemporaneous presence of printing solutions based on offset technology and digital technology has changed approaches to commercial printing and paper-based publishing, generating new products and revised business models.
Today, issues like personalization, on demand printing, the WOW effect of printing, sustainability and reducing environmental impact are all among the issues that are guiding the evolution of printing not just in the paper and cardboard industry – an industrial sector that is also modifying its print processes. Inprinting defines this historical moment as the ‘Reinvention of Industrial Printing’.
Today, the integration of traditional analogue technologies (screen printing) and digital technologies (digital and hybrid printing) is creating new ways of making things and new ways of communicating: it is helping to generate a brand-new market – the Print of Things (PoT).
PoT and Digital PoT entail new production solutions that span multiple markets.
An analogue/digital technological mix makes it possible to reconvert production processes for printed materials, fostering product personalization and overcoming restrictions to do with print speed, types of printable material, and ink durability and quality.
Innovators, printers, managers of industrial production processes, creatives, designers, architects, print services, communication and marketing agencies.
Inprinting puts on display the technologies for specialist printing and for industrial printing applications. Screen printing, Pad printing, digital inkjet printing and 3D printing are the solutions within the show. In addition there is a special area in the show for printing in the postal sector.
