It’s a small step from small print shop to large publishing group if you have vision, tenacity and a belief in innovation. An example of this is the story of Casa Editrice Rubbettino. Among the technologies embraced by this company are those of Canon, which will be exhibiting at Print4All.
The founding nucleus of the Rubbettino company was as a print shop and a small publishing house. In the years immediately after its launch the print shop was transformed into a modern printing company, which now offers printing services to many other Italian publishers; meanwhile the activities of the publishing house have become increasingly intensive and high-level, establishing itself as an essential point of reference for people in various capacities involved with economics, politics and the social sciences. It is therefore a historic company, market leader in the field of printing for the publishing, commercial, packaging, forms and invoicing spheres. A very challenging ambition that has been achieved also through an awareness that it is difficult to grow without innovation. Twenty years ago, when the market was still in its infancy, Rubbettino was one of the first companies to believe in digital technology, equipping itself with the machinery to offer its customers an even more advanced service.
This tradition continues today, and its current services are strongly focused on digital. The company still invests in innovative equipment such as the brand new Océ VarioPrint i200 - to be exhibited at the Canon Italia stand at Print4All - which makes it possible to grasp the best opportunities and improve services to customers in the publishing, commercial, packaging, forms and invoicing spheres.
This is a full colour digital inkjet printer, sheet-fed, with a speed of 200 A4 images per minute. It’s a system that offers the typical high productivity of inkjet technology and great flexibility of use thanks to its sheet-fed system, up to 35 X 50 format, and a particular inline finishing solution designed specifically for Rubbettino Print. Through this the system enables a high level of customisation that can generate innovative applications.
