Digital print… for all
image
It's not just a pun on our exhibition’s name, it's a fact: digital printing is for everything! The breadth of exhibitors’ product ranges will be on full display at technology supplier stands, where printing systems will be in operation, enabling visitors to experience first-hand the versatility of the machines, whether inkjet or toner based. Meanwhile, the range of finishing equipment is shaped by the versatile nature of digital solutions, creating synergies in the name of efficiency, process automation and profitability.

Canon, to name one of the exhibitors offering the widest portfolio of digital printing systems, is developing its trade fair display under its MAKE IT campaign, a concept which offers a Book On-Demand space, where Prisma Cloud software and imagePRESS C10010VPsystems stand out. For the Promotional sector, there are applications created using the imagePRESS range while for the Large Format printing sector, the star of the show is Canon Colorado, in turn divided into Wallpaper and Retail applications. Canon's imagePROGRAF GP technology takes the spotlight, a large-format printer with fluorescent water-pigment ink.

Also of interest is Xeikon's range, which has just launched Titot, a toner technology suitable for coming into contact with food for printing flexible packaging on paper without the need for coatings or laminations. The company's stand will be filled with information and print samples that demonstrate the power of digital printing for a wide variety of high-quality applications, such as on-demand books, wallpaper decoration and store displays. Plus self-adhesive labels, flexible packaging, bags, folding cartons, IML labels and paper cups for the label and packaging sector. Videos of Xeikon presses in action will also be shown: notably, there will be a space dedicated to IDER, Xeikon's water-based inkjet press for direct corrugated packaging printing.

There are also lots of exhibitors offering the most up-to-date finishing systems, such as Multi Import, an Italian distributor showcasing a series of brands and models, including, for its trade fair debut, the modular Box folding-gluing system by APR Solutions, as well as Atos for double-sided adhesive applications. From the well-established brand Baciottini, Multi Import is exhibiting the compact creasing-bending machine Oxo Multiskill, complete with automatic feeder with non-stop winding. Also on display are the high-performance Foliant Taurus 530 NG laminating machine in 53x75 (extendible to over one metre), which can reach speeds of up to 40 m/minute and is therefore suitable for laminating both offset and digital prints. For booklet production, the Morgana PowerSquare 224 combines stitching, folding, spine squaring and trimming processes in one system to produce SquareBack books of up to 224 pages. From C.P. Bourg, targeting automatic finishing for book-on-demand, the Bourg BB3102 integrated solution for producing paperback books will be in action as well as the latest generation CMT 330TC three-blade three-side machine. All of these solutions comply with the Industry 4.0 Plan initiatives.
